Yoko Ono: Instruction Paintings

A collection of art works by Yoko Ono, featuring "Instruction Paintings." The cover design, with its striking "one eye" motif, was conceived by Ono herself.

This book includes Yoko Ono's conceptual art piece "Instructions for Paintings," created between 1961 and 1962, along with "actual paintings." "Instructions for Paintings" consists solely of 22 handwritten Japanese "instructions" by her then-husband, the avant-garde composer Toshi Ichiyanagi. This work contains no actual paintings, only instructions for creating "paintings to be drawn and assembled in the mind."

These conceptual works by Yoko Ono, which stimulate the imagination, can be seen as one of the origins of Katsuhiko Hibino's "100 Instructions."

Remarks: The condition is generally good as it was kept in a slipcase. There is some (minor) yellowing on the spine, but the main body, including the pages inside, is clean. There are no problems with reading. Please take this opportunity to acquire it.
